Questions

›Why convert MP3 to WAV?

Some audio editors, samplers, CD-burning apps and phone systems only accept WAV. WAV is also simpler for software to work with, since it doesn't need decoding.

›Will the WAV sound better than the MP3?

No. The WAV is an exact copy of what the MP3 sounds like, nothing more. It just stops any further loss if you edit and re-save it.

›Why is the WAV file so big?

WAV stores audio uncompressed: 16-bit stereo at 44.1 kHz is about 10 MB per minute, roughly seven times the size of a 192 kbps MP3.

›16-bit or 24-bit?

16-bit is CD quality and opens everywhere. 24-bit only helps when you plan heavy editing; it can't add detail the MP3 didn't have.

›Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Your files are processed on your own device by your browser. They never touch our servers, so there are no upload waits, no size caps from us, and nothing to delete afterwards.
