- 01Drop in the photos or scans, one per page, and drag them into order. The size limit is already on at 200 KB; change it if your form allows more or less.
- 02Create the PDF. If the first build is too big, it tries again with lower JPG quality, then smaller photos, until the PDF fits.
- 03Check "Result: … ✓ fits under 200 KB" and download.
Questions
›How many photos fit in 200 KB?
As a rough guide, two to four document photos, each scaled to a size that still reads well on screen. More pages need smaller or lower-quality photos, and the result tells you the quality and pixel size it ended up with, so you can check legibility before you upload.
›Why not just compress the PDF afterwards?
You can (see Compress PDF to 200 KB), but building it small in the first place saves a step and avoids compressing the photos twice.
›Does the limit apply to "One PDF per image"?
No, the limit is for a single combined PDF. To get several small PDFs, make them one at a time, or make one PDF and use Split PDF.
›Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Your files are processed on your own device by your browser. They never touch our servers, so there are no upload waits, no size caps from us, and nothing to delete afterwards.
