Compress to an exact size
Upload forms and apps set hard limits: 100 KB for a certificate, 20–50 KB for a photo, 10 MB for a clip. These tools aim under the number you need, check the file they made against it, and tell you plainly when a file can't get there.
Keeps the sharpest photos that fit. Text and drawings stay crisp at every size.

How the target works
- 01It starts with the best quality and checks whether the file already fits. If it does, nothing is lost.
- 02Otherwise it estimates from a sample (a few photos of a PDF, the length of a video) and compresses at the sharpest setting expected to fit.
- 03The finished file is measured. PDFs and photos that miss get another pass on their own; a video gets a one-click retry aimed lower. Every file ends with a result line: "✓ fits", or what stopped it.
KB, MB and honesty
Targets count 1 KB as 1,000 bytes and 1 MB as 1,000,000 bytes, the stricter way, so a file that fits here also fits a form that counts 1,024.
Some files can't reach some sizes: text and fonts in a long PDF, or an hour of video in 10 MB. You still get the smallest version, with the reason and the next best step (grayscale, a split, a shorter clip), never a file that only claims to fit.
Everything runs on your device. Your files are never uploaded.
