Yes. Transparent and semi-transparent areas carry straight over to the PNG.
›Why is the PNG so much larger?
AVIF is one of the most efficient formats around, while PNG stores every pixel losslessly. Same picture, many more bytes. Picking a smaller size helps if that matters.
›AVIF to PNG or AVIF to JPG?
PNG for graphics, transparency or further editing. JPG for photos you want to keep small.
›Are my files uploaded anywhere?
