›Why convert PNG to JPG?
PNG is lossless, which makes photos saved as PNG very large. JPG is built for photos and often makes them several times smaller with no visible difference, so they upload and email faster.
›What happens to transparent areas?
JPG can't store transparency, so transparent pixels are filled with a solid color. White is the default; pick black or any color to match where the image will sit.
›Should I convert screenshots and logos too?
Usually not. Text and sharp edges can pick up faint smudges in JPG. For those, try WebP with lossless on, or keep the PNG and run it through the image compressor.
›Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Your files are processed on your own device by your browser. They never touch our servers, so there are no upload waits, no size caps from us, and nothing to delete afterwards.
